I have for years been trying to locate some research on the HARP family that Mrs. Cortlandt Godwin (Sara Woodbury Sylvester Hedge Godwin) had prepared. My mother-in-law copied the records and sent them back to Mrs. Godwin, whose daughter Jacqueline married the oldest Harp son, Terrence. However, Mrs. Harp did not copy any of the sources, and we have spent years verifying what she recorded. The research would have been done 1939/40.

Mrs. Godwin wrote Mrs. Harp that she would place the files in the Genealogy Library on 58th Street in New York City, but they have searched their records for me and do not find them.

I know it is really 'reaching' to expect you would know anything about Mrs. Godwin's records, but I do keep trying to find them.
